One of the leading British bridal designers, Stephanie Allin’s show was inspired by, in her own words, ‘the hedonistic glamour of Marrakech in the 1970s’. The show harvests an Arabian aura with hints of hazy gold dusk and silvery twilight ivory.
The colour pallete reflects the glamour of a Middle Eastern bride, with gleaming jewels ensconced in fluttering fabrics of chiffon and gauze complimenting a fluid figure. Structured and contoured bodices, heavily laced, form nipped waists in rose blushes and hints of lilac.
Full skirts and peplum finishes sensualise the mystic nature of the collection whereas flowing silks and lady lace denote graceful opulence. Low backs are daring as the adventurous brides flaunt lady lace and creamy jacquard.
Flowering ornamentation is a seamlessly coherent theme within the collection, with the final piece, beautifully modeled by Strictly Come Dancing’s Natasha Lowe, is the culmination of Stephanie’s blossoming delicate lacework.
