Rihanna and Armani

Following the success of her first collection , Rihanna has once again joined forces with the Italian brand Armani Jeans and Emporio Armani Underwear to design a second capsule collection.  Orientated around her own boyish, dressed-down style, the collection which is due to hit stores in mid-April will feature a denim range including a pair of tartan lined shorts that  can be rolled up into a pair of super short hot pants, a distressed denim romper and some relaxed and versatile t-shirts and tank tops.

The Emporio Armani Underwear range is made from stretch cotton making it very comfy and easy to wear.  This collection features vest and short sets as well as glittery push up bras.

Giorio Armani commented that “Rihanna is a great artists. She has personality, charisma and energy, and has been a pleasure to work with. She captures the young and contemporary essence of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans perfectly.” The R’n'B star said recently that she would one day like to design her own line and is also set to star in a new fashion reality show in the UK.

Men’s Fashion: Summer Blues

Whilst the British weather is having a tantrum, fashion still very much has its sights on summer. The SS12 shows for menswear were having a blue moment it seemed. From eye-popping cobalt to cool powder blue, whatever your shade, a splash of blue will keep your summer wardrobe fresh and cool. Wear with silver and white for a clean, minimal look or match with similar tones in mint green and turquoise. Or go mad and colour-block the shade against tangerine and canary yellow. Being blue never looked so good.

Giorgio Armani Designs Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball Tour

Lady Gaga is one of the most powerful women in fashion and expresses a beautiful uniqueness about herself using the creative elements of fashion and art. No wonder she’s asked one of the greatest designers in the world to design her 2012 Asian Tour.

Giorgio Armani, the Italian fashion genius, is designing Lady Gaga’s tour packed with spikey PVC numbers, black diamonds, and not to forget the footwear! Gaga will reportedly be wearing skin colour latex with extravagant headpieces accompanied by knee high robotic like boots.

This won’t be the first time these artists have worked together. Back in 2010, Gaga appeared at the Grammy’s wearing the haute couture satellite dress by Giorgio Armani – a fashion statement many believe only Gaga could rock.

Speaking of Gaga, Giorgio said: “I admire the way she uses fashion as a scenic element and as a means to build a character. She is an artist of many talents and great intelligence. Creating stage costumes for her is a stimulating and creative exercise.”
