Namrah presented her traditional bridal wear collection using an array of rich, vibrant pastel colours, interwoven with delicate embroidery that seemed far from traditional – which Namrah concurred: “even these aren’t enough for the traditional bridle wear. They’ll certainly want more on the garments”. A highlight from her collection was a long over layer with 30s tassel scooped neckline kameez, quarter length skinny leg trousers. It wasn’t overly embroidered on but kept chic and plain. In the latter SS12 collections, the models strolled down the catwalk in soft, floating chiffon fabrics bringing in the summer breeze. Tie dye maxi kameez dresses, mixing orange and pink, yellow and white created a great effect to the design. When asking Namrah what inspired her current collection she replied, “My inspiration has always been with me – my daughter”.
