‘Forever Jewellery’ proudly presented their stunning bridal collection by Neeta Lulla at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012.

On Tuesday 7th August 2012 excited onlookers were treated to yet another fantastic show in Mumbai. The ‘Forever Jewellery’ collection was called ‘Radha’ and was part of another remarkable day during Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012.

The colourful and extravagant pieces looked amazing against the contrast of the black runway. Temple bells were elegantly hung in groups from the ceiling and tall striking pillars set the stage perfectly for the dramatic show. The lights dimmed and uncovered beautiful drapes of fabric. The black and white set was the perfect accomplice and ensured nothing was to upstage the vibrant collection. The graceful pace for the show was continued with the introduction of Bollywood’s ‘Dream Girl’, Hema Malini.

The story behind the exquisite line is one of true romance and captures the essence of undying affection. ‘Radha’ which is the symbol of true love inspires the range. Lulla created a collection with a lot of passion and this is strongly reflected in the end results. Each piece is equally as mesmerising as the first and you can see the effort and detail that has gone in to each creation. The works of art have quite a traditional feeling yet skillfully combine both the East and the West styles.

Lulla undoubtedly has an eye for detail and this is evident in the intricate quilting, appliqué and embroidery of the fabric. The materials which she chose to use were rich and luxurious, organza and silks were incorporated to give garments a lavish feeling. The colours Lulla opted for were bold shades such as pink, purple, orange and emerald. The colours were strong and vibrant.

The striking pieces were complimented by fabulous jewellery such as necklaces, statement earrings and bangles to name just a few. The jewellery was just as colourful and exciting as the garments.

The bridal collection was like no other. The colours, shapes and multicoloured features were outstanding. She used techniques like tiered pleating and paneling to create textured appearances. The interesting outfits created beautiful silhouettes. The most unusual of them all must have been the fishtail skirt with beautiful detailing of gold flowers.

Lulla is a very talented and clever designer, creating a faultless collection using all her best assets and skills
