Kushboo Agarwal and Prem Kumar – Khem
During Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012 we saw French baroque along with influences of the so called ”The Tree of Life”. Behind the artful designs and exquisite constructions, the design duo Khem – Kushboo Agarwal and Prem Kumar – have designed the collection, ”Dark Romance”. With a modern feminine touch but still obvious Indian influences, Khem showed off a gentle colour palette of grey, green, red, blue and black. The silhouettes follow a modern approach of traditional art by their interesting forms and designs. Lakmé Fashion Week summarises the Khem show as a collection where French baroque meets modern art with a soft touch. TSC think Khem is definitely a design duo to keep your eyes on.
Pranav Mishra and Shyma Shetty – Huemn
The design duo Huemn which is made up of Pranav Mishra and Shyma Shetty impressed at Lakmé Fashion Week with their stylish collection titled, “When the Lines Move”. Incorporated fabrics such as leather, felt and crepe along with structured designs and silhouettes still followed the theme of a flowingly appearance. With the concept of structured design, Huemn ensured the collection was wonderfully feminine by using sheer fabrics and fitted tops. A colour palette of pale pastels as well as muted nudes and browns made for a unique twist. Huemn’s collection had an extra touch of everything; experimental designs, gorgeous feminine shapes and well-constructed garments which left us wanting more.
