“I sell style coupled with tradition. I sell clothes that enhance a persons personality without over overwhelming them” – so says Onita Prasada, the woman behind one of London’s well established luxury boutiques that offers a vast collection of unique couture garments that will no only wet your appetite but you may not wish to go home after your first visit.

In this first feature (based upon what Onita currently offers to her clients) we present the casual look that combines comfort, well tailoring, flexibility and garnished with lots of style. Aiming for the 21st century woman who loves to explore her contemporary, as well as her cultural, side – these following garments are what Onita recommends for the summer season.

~

Sunshine Yellow – the only colour that will radiate your confidence and certainly put you in direct competition with the sun. With the summer (or lack of) we’ve had so far, you’d certainly be winning in comparison with these items from Deepak Parwani and Maheen Khan.

Fire red – the only way to ignite the passion within is to set it alight and watch it blaze. Any hotter and you may need the fire brigade to water you done with this outfit from Maheen Khan. Mild Wind – Even casual outfit can make do with a bit of glamour and nothing says style better then some hand crafted embroidery and detailing. The following three garments with their soft background, complemented with vivid features and prints, will surely project your colourful personality. Another striking piece from Maheen Khan imprints the west onto an eastern outfit, while Anjana Bharhav provides a western outfit with eastern prints. Anjana tops off the third outfit with a landscape green dress suitable for almost any occasion.

Canvas White – They say never show the plain blankness on a piece of paper, but its what you can do with it that really matters. As these garments show that white/cream doesn’t always have to be neutral however if you shape, pleat, knot or even structure this around beautiful prints and patterns – you will look stunning regardless. Deepak Parwani’s outfit uses minimal features but still provides maximum impact. Maheen Khan again structures her clothes like no one else and will mystify anyone who gazes at the integrated wrap feature. She completes the casual look collection with a chiffon based outfit that show off the teal undergarment and shimmering trousers. It doesn’t get any better than this.
