Last week saw Burberry launch their latest project ‘Burberry World Live’ in Taipei. The event was held in honor of the opening of their latest store in Taipei, which is set to be the first of many new stores opening worldwide.

Guests were invited into the 360-degree cylindrical world which was housed inside one of the world’s largest skyscrapers, Taipei 101. They were greeted by a combination of live music, film and interaction all inspired and led by British weather. British musician Tom Odell performed live before the 360-degree screen surrounded the audience with a film that showcased the famous brand. Models wandered amongst woodland and in stormy weather while wearing classic Burberry trenches and pieces from their latest Autumn Winter collection for 2012. Meanwhile, leaves followed by golden rain fell from the ceiling of the immense space.

The aim of this new project was to embrace and communicate the whole concept of the brand in one experience that combines all the different facets of the brand – fashion, design, music, weather and attitude. Chief creative director Christopher Bailey commented that it is “a big celebration of the multifaceted jewel that is Burberry. It’s a celebration of Britishness all around the globe.”  Check out the footage from the event below.
