An online flagship store has just been launched by Alexander McQueen which offers a global audience the biggest range of McQueen and McQ lines on the internet. The site also has an interactive experience which encourages customers to set up their own ‘My McQueen’ account, within this McQueen fans can archive favourite looks, ad campaigns and pieces from the McQueen site. Consumers can get their McQueen fix by watching backstage footage of runway shows, catwalks and shop in the website’s new Scarf Boutique, which of course includes the famous McQueen skull scarf in a range of enticing colours.
To celebrate the launch, Alexander McQueen will be offering several exclusive items: The coral knuckle box clutch, made from soft pink nappa leather, features exclusive pearl, Swarovski and ‘coral’ detail on gold hardware, and is priced at £1495 / $2,650 / €1,595. The Coral Flower Skull silk scarf, at £335 / $625 / €375, features an exclusive, seasonal print. For men, the Puma Alexander McQueen ‘Deck’ trainers, priced at £240 / $335 / €280 feature the ‘bleeding stripe’ digital print, seen throughout the men’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
